Alpha-synuclein alterations in red blood cells of peripheral blood after acute ischemic stroke.
TL;DR: Findings suggest that RBC AS can be a potential biomarker for evaluating AS changes in the brain of AIS patients, and suggest that post-stroke induction of alpha-synuclein (AS) has been demonstrated to induce secondary brain damage after cerebral ischemia.
