Resveratrol Inhibits the Migration and Metastasis of MDA-MB-231 Human Breast Cancer by Reversing TGF-β1-Induced Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition.
TL;DR: Results indicate that resveratrol inhibits the migration of MDA231 cells by reversing TGF-β1-induced EMT and inhibits the lung metastasis of Mda231 human breast cancer in a xenograft-bearing mouse model.

Inhibitory effect of emodin on migration, invasion and metastasis of human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells in vitro and in vivo.
TL;DR: Results indicated that emodin inhibited the lung metastasis of human breast cancer in a mouse xenograft model, and inhibited the invasion of MDA-MB-231 cells associated with the downregulation of M MP-2, MMP-9, uPA and uPAR expression as well as decreased activity of p38 and ERK.
Berberine and Evodiamine Act Synergistically Against Human Breast Cancer MCF-7 Cells by Inducing Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptosis.
TL;DR: Combination of berberine and evodiamine acts synergistically to suppress the proliferation of MCF-7 cells by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, illustrating the potential synergistic and combinatorial application of bioactive natural products.

Ginsenoside Rb1 pretreatment attenuates myocardial ischemia by reducing calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II-medicated calcium release
Wen-Jun Zhou,Juan-Li Li,Qian-Mei Zhou,Fei-Fei Cai,Xiao-Le Chen,Yi-Yu Lu,Ming Zhao,Shi-Bing Su +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of ginsenoside Rb1 on myocardial ischemia (IS) in a rat and found that it attenuated MI injury in rats, partially through the downregulation of CaMKII expression.

Therapeutic effect of jianpi decoction combined with chemotherapy on postoperative treatment of colorectal cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Wen-Jun Zhou,Bin Wei,Fei-Fei Cai,Meng-Die Yang,Xiao-Le Chen,Qi-Long Chen,Ming Zhao,Shi-Bing Su +7 more
TL;DR: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials to assess the therapeutic effect of Jianpi decoctions in Chinese herbal medicines combined with chemotherapy on the postoperative treatment of colorectal cancer found that patients receiving Western medicine alone had a lower survival rate than those receiving CHM and Western medicine combination therapy.
