Macular and peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer measurements by spectral domain optical coherence tomography in normal-tension glaucoma.
Mincheol Seong,Kyung Rim Sung,Eunhee Choi,Sung Yong Kang,Jung Woo Cho,Tae Woong Um,Yoon Jeon Kim,Seong Bae Park,Hun Eui Hong,Michael S. Kook +9 more
TL;DR: MIRL thickness showed glaucoma discrimination ability comparable to that of pR NFL thickness in patients with NTG with early VF defects, and in eyes with advanced or peripheral VF defect, pRNFL measurement showed a better glAUcoma diagnostic ability than did MIRL measurement.

The relationship between diabetic retinopathy and diabetic nephropathy in a population-based study in Korea (KNHANES V-2, 3).
Won June Lee,Lucia Sobrin,Min Jeong Lee,Min Ho Kang,Mincheol Seong,Hee Yoon Cho,Hee Yoon Cho +6 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that when an ophthalmologist finds the presence of DR or PDR, timely evaluation of the patient's renal status should be recommended.
Comparison of aqueous concentrations of angiogenic and inflammatory cytokines in diabetic macular oedema and macular oedema due to branch retinal vein occlusion
TL;DR: The results suggest that the inflammatory reaction may be more activated in DMO than in BRVO-MO, and ischaemic insult may play a central role in the development of BR VO-MO.

Ability of Stratus OCT to detect progressive retinal nerve fiber layer atrophy in glaucoma.
TL;DR: Within the limits of retest variability, Stratus OCT detects progressive RNFL atrophy with high sensitivity and moderate specificity in cases showing localized progressive loss of retinal nerve fibers in red-free photographs.

Changes in Retinal Vessel and Retinal Layer Thickness After Vitrectomy in Retinal Detachment via Swept-Source OCT Angiography
TL;DR: The CCP VD as determined by OCTA could be an indicator of the visual outcome after surgery in macula-off RRD, and could be related to the anatomical restoration of the outer retinal layer in Macula- off RRD.
