Three-axis atomic magnetometer for nuclear magnetic resonance gyroscopes
TL;DR: In this paper, a three-axis atomic magnetometer for nuclear magnetic resonance gyroscopes (NMRGs) is demonstrated, and the magnetic field sensitivities of 100 fT/Hz 1/2 in x and y axes and 20 fT /Hz 1 /2 in the z axis are achieved.

Clock-transition spectrum of 171 Yb atoms in a one-dimensional optical lattice
Ning Chen,Min Zhou,Haiqin Chen,Su Fang,Liang-Yu Huang,Xiao-Hang Zhang,Qi Gao,Yanyi Jiang,Zhi-Yi Bi,Long-Sheng Ma,Xinye Xu +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an optical atomic clock with 171Yb atoms was devised and tested, and the clock transition spectrum was obtained by measuring the dependence of the population of the ground-state 1S0 upon the clock-laser detuning.

Experiments on trapping ytterbium atoms in optical lattices
Min Zhou,Ning Chen,Xiao-Hang Zhang,Liang-Yu Huang,Mao-Fei Yao,Jie Tian,Qi Gao,Hai-Ling Jiang,Hai-yao Tang,Xinye Xu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the temperature, number, and lifetime of cold 171Yb atoms in one-dimensional lattice were measured and used for developing an ytterbium optical clock.
