Physiological responses of Suaeda glauca and Arabidopsis thaliana in phytoremediation of heavy metals.
TL;DR: The growth and physiological responses of Suaeda glauca and Arabidopsis thaliana plants were investigated, and the soil conditions were evaluated further under varied levels of cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) and manganese (Mn).

Polyzwitterion Manipulates Remineralization and Antibiofilm Functions against Dental Demineralization.
TL;DR: The present work provides a theoretical and experimental basis for the use of the PCBAA/ACP nanocomposite as a potential dual-functional agent for arresting and preventing caries and demonstrated superior effects in promoting the remineralization of demineralized enamel and the occlusion of exposed dentinal tubules in vivo and in vitro.

Enhanced bioremediation of lead-contaminated soil by Solanum nigrum L. with Mucor circinelloides
TL;DR: The results indicated that inoculating S. nigrum L. combined with M. circinelloides enhanced its efficiency for phytoremediation of soil contaminated with Pb and soil fertility was increased according to change in enzyme activities.

Amyloid-Mediated Nanoarchitectonics with Biomimetic Mineralization of Polyetheretherketone for Enhanced Osseointegration.
Yingtao Gao,Yanyun Pang,Shuo Wei,Qian Han,Shuting Miao,Min Li,Juanhua Tian,Chengyu Fu,Zheng Wang,Xu Zhang,Peng Yang,Yang Liu +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a robust hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating on polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is constructed using a phase-transitioned lysozyme (PTL) nanofilm as a sandwiched layer.

Development of a Modified QuEChERS Method Based on Magnetic Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes as a Clean-Up Adsorbent for the Analysis of Heterocyclic Aromatic Amines in Braised Sauce Beef
TL;DR: A modified QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, Safe) method using magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Fe3O4-MWCNTs) as clean-up adsorbents for the rapid determination of heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs) generated during the cooking of meats cause adverse effects on human health as discussed by the authors .
