Recent developments in StemBase: a tool to study gene expression in human and murine stem cells
Reatha Sandie,Gareth A. Palidwor,Matthew R. Huska,Christopher J. Porter,Paul M. Krzyzanowski,Enrique M. Muro,Carolina Perez-Iratxeta,Miguel A. Andrade-Navarro +7 more
TL;DR: StemBase can be used to study gene expression in human and murine stem cells and is available at http://www.stembase.ca.
Ethyl 2-((4-Chlorophenyl)amino)thiazole-4-carboxylate and Derivatives Are Potent Inducers of Oct3/4
Xinlai Cheng,Hiroki Yoshida,Dena Raoofi,Sawsan Saleh,Hamed Alborzinia,Frank Wenke,Axel Göhring,Stefanie Reuter,Nancy Mah,Heiko Fuchs,Miguel A. Andrade-Navarro,James Adjaye,Sheraz Gul,Jochen Utikal,Ralf Mrowka,Stefan Wölfl +15 more
TL;DR: O4I2 and its derivatives should provide a new class of small molecules suitable for iPSC generation, based on a cell-based high throughput screening campaign identified several potential small molecules as inducers of Oct3/4 expression.

TL;DR: It is found that the MC3 compound activates TGFβ signalling while reducing Il-2 expression and CD4+ T-cell activation and suppresses autoimmune phenotypes in a mouse model of IPEX syndrome, suggesting that the immunosuppressive activity of gold compounds can be improved by introducing planar NHC ligands to activate the AHR-associated immunOSuppressive pathway, thus expanding their potential clinical application for autoimmune diseases.
A novel approach for protein subcellular location prediction using amino acid exposure.
TL;DR: A new algorithm for subcellular location prediction that uses residue exposure signatures and a novel approach to address the multiclass classification problem is developed.
Interaction profiling of RNA-binding ubiquitin ligases reveals a link between posttranscriptional regulation and the ubiquitin system
Andrea Hildebrandt,Gregorio Alanis-Lobato,Andrea Voigt,Kathi Zarnack,Miguel A. Andrade-Navarro,Petra Beli,Julian König +6 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that RBULs engage in stable interactions with RNA-binding proteins involved in different steps of RNA metabolism as well as with components of the ubiquitin conjugation machinery and Ubiquitin- binding proteins.
