Ensemble of optimal trees, random forest and random projection ensemble classification
Zardad Khan,Zardad Khan,Asma Gul,Asma Gul,Aris Perperoglou,Miftahuddin Miftahuddin,Miftahuddin Miftahuddin,Osama Mahmoud,Osama Mahmoud,Osama Mahmoud,Werner Adler,Berthold Lausen +11 more
TL;DR: This work investigates the idea of integrating trees that are accurate and diverse and uses out-of-bag observations as a validation sample from the training bootstrap samples, to choose the best trees based on their individual performance and assess these trees for diversity using the Brier score on an independent validation sample.
An Ensemble of Optimal Trees for Class Membership probability estimation
Zardad Khan,Asma Gul,Asma Gul,Osama Mahmoud,Osama Mahmoud,Miftahuddin Miftahuddin,Aris Perperoglou,Werner Adler,Berthold Lausen +8 more
- 04 Aug 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, an ensemble of optimal trees in terms of their predictive performance is proposed, which is formed by selecting the best trees from a large initial set of trees grown by random forest.
Large-scale bound constrained optimization based on hybrid teaching learning optimization algorithm
TL;DR: A hybrid TLBO (HTLBO) with aim at to further improve the exploration and exploitation abilities of the baseline TLBO algorithm and are better than some well-known evolutionary algorithms in terms of proximity and diversity.

Estimation of Constant Stress Partially Accelerated Life Test for Fréchet Distribution with Type-I Censoring
Abdullah Ali H. Ahmadini,Wali Khan Mashwani,Rehman Ahmad Khan Sherwani,Shokrya S. Alshqaq,Farrukh Jamal,Miftahuddin Miftahuddin,Kamran Abbas,Faiza Razaq,Mohammed Elgarhy,Sanaa Al-Marzouki +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a constant stress PALT design for the Frechet distribution with type-I censoring has been investigated due to a wide applicability of the frechet distribution in engineering problems especially in hydrology.
Ensemble of Subset of k-Nearest Neighbours Models for Class Membership Probability Estimation
Asma Gul,Asma Gul,Zardad Khan,Aris Perperoglou,Osama Mahmoud,Osama Mahmoud,Miftahuddin Miftahuddin,Werner Adler,Berthold Lausen +8 more
- 04 Aug 2016
TL;DR: An ensemble of k-Nearest Neighbours (kNN) classifiers for class membership probability estimation in the presence of non-informative features in the data is proposed and shows high predictive performance in terms of minimum Brier score on most of the data sets.
