Comparing spatio-temporal hierarchical models for air quality data
Michela Cameletti
- 30 Apr 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison approach for hierarchical spatio-temporal models, considering both goodness of fit and model complexity, as well as computational load, is proposed for particulate matter.

An analysis of temporal and spatial patterns in Italian hospitalization rates for multiple diagnosis.
TL;DR: The analysis is based on a novel model-based clustering approach which enables clustering of spatially registered time series with respect to latent temporal patterns and their trend in order to identify possible critical areas in terms of increasing rates.

Comparing Methods to Retrieve Tweets: a Sentiment Approach
Stephan Schlosser,Daniele Toninelli,Michela Cameletti +2 more
- 12 May 2020
TL;DR: The results confirm that the current best option does not show any significant difference in the sentiment, and can be implemented in the data collection of geolocated tweets in other countries and for other studies based on the sentiment analysis.
Multiresolution decomposition of areal count data
Roman Flury,Reinhard Furrer,Michela Cameletti,Luigi Ippoliti,Alessio Pollice +4 more
- 16 Jul 2019
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extended the multiresolution decomposition procedure to areal count data, i.e., discrete irregularly gridded data, and incorporated in a new model concept and distributions from the Besag-York-Mollie model to include a priori demographical knowledge.
