Accounting for uncertainty in remotely-sensed measurements of river planform change
Mitchell Donovan,Patrick Belmont,Bastiaan Notebaert,Tyrel Coombs,Phillip H. Larson,Michael Souffront +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present best practices, test new approaches to quantify and handle uncertainty, and provide recommendations for future work using remotely-sensed measurements of river migration and width changes, and encourage a focus on improving the simplicity, generalizability, and open-source opportunities of tools and packages used for calculating river planform change and spatially variable uncertainty.

Advancing global hydrologic modeling with the GEOGloWS ECMWF streamflow service
Riley Chad Hales,E. James Nelson,Michael Souffront,Angelica-L. Gutierrez,Christel Prudhomme,Steve Kopp,Daniel P. Ames,Gus Williams,Norman Jones +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present the design and development of a global, modeled streamflow data source for the Group on Earth Observation Global Water Sustainability (GEOGloWS) implemented at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF).
