TL;DR: Cell biological analysis of the protein product suggests a function in regulating development of the mammary gland and genetic analysis identifies the HMMR gene as a modifier of the breast cancer risk associated with BRCA1 gene mutation.
Mobilization of PBSC for allogeneic transplantation by the use of the G-CSF biosimilar XM02 in healthy donors.
Michael Schmitt,Xun Xu,Inken Hilgendorf,Catarina Schneider,Kersten Borchert,Dietrich Gläser,Mathias Freund,Anita Schmitt,Anita Schmitt +8 more
TL;DR: A comparable efficacy and safety of biosimilar G- CSF when compared with reference G-CSF is found and a safe engraftment in all patients with similar reconstitution of hematopoiesis in all hosts.

Clinical peptide vaccination trials for leukemia patients.
TL;DR: Clinical Phase I and II peptide vaccination trials with RHAMM, WT1, PR-3 and bcr-abl for leukemia patients are summarized, showing the immune responses achieved after vaccination positively correlated with good clinical outcomes, that is complete remission.

Polyomavirus BK-specific CD8+ T cell responses in patients after allogeneic stem cell transplant
Dominik Schneidawind,Anita Schmitt,Markus Wiesneth,Thomas Mertens,Donald Bunjes,Mathias Freund,Michael Schmitt +6 more
TL;DR: The BkV peptide VP1 p108 seems to play an important role as an immunodominant peptide in the pathogenesis of HC in patients after allogeneic SCT, and might be a promising target for immunotherapies or even strategies to prevent the development of BKV-associated HC.

Tenofovir for treatment of hepatitis B virus reactivation in patients with chronic GVHD.
Inken Hilgendorf,M Loebermann,Kersten Borchert,Christian Junghanss,Mathias Freund,Michael Schmitt +5 more
TL;DR: The more recent anti-HBV agent tenofovir was used in two patients with severe chronic GVHD (cGVHD) and HBV reactivation in patients after allogeneic HSCT, finding it well tolerated without any side effects.
