In-Office Diagnostic Needle Arthroscopy: Understanding the Potential Value for the US Healthcare System.
Sean McMillan,Michael S Schwartz,Bryan Jennings,Scott C. Faucett,Thomas Owens,Elizabeth Ford +5 more
TL;DR: In-office diagnostic needle arthroscopy is a cost-effective and reproducible procedure with potential cost and quality-of-life benefits for commercial payers and patients.

Initial experience and cancer detection rates of office-based transperineal magnetic resonance imaging-ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy under local anesthesia.
Zachary Kozel,Clay D. Martin,David Mikhail,Aaron Smith,Luke Griffiths,Daniel Nethala,Manish Vira,Michael S Schwartz +7 more
TL;DR: Office-based transperineal fusion biopsy represents a viable approach to prostate cancer detection following prostate MRI and larger-scale assessment is needed to categorize cancer detection rates more accurately by PI-RADs subset, patient selection factors, complication rate, and cost relative to TFB under anesthesia.
Use of a Small-Bore Needle Arthroscope to Diagnose Intra-Articular Knee Pathology: Comparison With Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Carl Deirmengian,Joshua S. Dines,Joseph V Vernace,Michael S Schwartz,R. Alexander Creighton,James N Gladstone +5 more
TL;DR: The mi-eye⁺™ needle arthroscope proved to be more sensitive and specific than MRI for intra-articular findings at time of knee arthroscopy, and did not obviate the need for MRI.
