LiEuPSe4 and KEuPSe4: Novel Selenophosphates with the Tetrahedral [PSe4]3- Building Block.
TL;DR: The first quaternary lithium-containing selenophosphate was synthesized as red polyhedra by reacting Eu with a molten mixture of Li2Se/P2Se5/Se at 750 degrees C as mentioned in this paper.

Synthesis and Characterization of Na6Cd7S10: A New Framework Sulfide with 1-D Channels Containing 12- and 16-Member Rings and a Sulfide Anion in an Umbrella-like Geometry
TL;DR: The ternary cadmium sulfide compound Na6Cd7S10 exhibits a tunneled three-dimensional framework, with a sulfur atom in an "umbrella" geometry.

Valence Band Modification and High Thermoelectric Performance in SnTe Heavily Alloyed with MnTe.
Gangjian Tan,Fengyuan Shi,Shiqiang Hao,Hang Chi,Trevor P. Bailey,Li-Dong Zhao,Ctirad Uher,Chris Wolverton,Vinayak P. Dravid,Mercouri G. Kanatzidis +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate a high solubility limit of >9 mol% for MnTe alloying in SnTe, indicating a modified band structure, and the peak temperature of the Hall plot of Sn1-xMnxTe shifts toward lower temperature as MnTe content is increased, clear evidence of decreased energy separation (band convergence) between the two valence bands.

Removal of CrO42-, a Nonradioactive Surrogate of 99TcO4-, Using LDH-Mo3S13 Nanosheets.
Ahmet Yasin Celik,Dien Li,Michael Quintero,Kathryn M. L. Taylor-Pashow,Xian De Zhu,Mohsen Shakouri,Subrata Chandra Roy,Mercouri G. Kanatzidis,Zikri Arslan,Alicia Blanton,Jing Nie,Shu-Yun Ma,Fengxiang X. Han,Saiful Islam +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a metal sulfide intercalated double hydroxide (LDH-Mo3S13) was used to remove chromate (CrO42-) and pertechnetate (TcO4-) from the Hanford Low Activity Waste (LAW) stream.
