In this paper described the process of designing and applying 100 DJI Tello EDU drones to display various characters following from A to Z and 0 to 9 as letters and words. The drones are divided into four groups, each of 25 drones. Each drone is connected to a wireless access point where the mission control center operates the command to each drone individually in parallel to display the expected letter or words. Python is the programming language used for commanding and controlling the operation. The communication between drones and the mission control computer is done wirelessly with Wi-FiS02.11N technology running at a 2. 4GHz frequency. Each drone is assigned to a specific IP address as an ID based on the unique Media Access Control (MAC) address. To communicate with the drones, the User Diagram Protocol (UDP) protocol is used for the communication. As a result, the matrix drone can perform different flights showing different characters and words including various custom 3D shapes.

Recent years have seen significant expansion within Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with increasing demand from sectors including reconnaissance, surveillance, and delivery. This paper focus on the modelling and control aspects specific to quadcopters, a popular type of UAV with an ambition to increase their stability quotient whilst accounting for factors like thrust, torque and aerodynamics guided by mathematical equations and physics laws governing their dynamics with use of MATLAB Simulink. For effective stabilization purposes design objective is generating proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers while testing simulations to gauge the controller’s performance; the results highlight a reduction in oscillations and an increased stability with more favourable regulation of motion relatively than earlier. A physical quadcopter test then follows to cross-validate simulation findings for any subsequent required optimizations of existing PID controls. The project aims at contributing extensively towards enhancing UAV control through developing reliable and efficient PID controllers with specific focus towards quadcopters that can find application potential over other types of UAVs within this industry.

Modeling and Control of Unmaned Aerial Vehicles

In this paper, we investigate the manner in which energy consumption in drone deliveries is affected by windy environmental conditions. We know in fact that the energy consumption of the drone will depend on the static and dynamic parameters of the scenario where it moves and according to these it decides, during the mission, to detour from the originally planned path to take advantage of the wind changes. In order to validate this, we simulate possible deliveries among fixed destinations relying on a real data-set of recorded winds obtained from different weather stations in Corsica, France. For our analysis, we will mainly concentrate on the evaluation of the delivery scheme proposed in the literature, where completing a delivery means finding a cycle for the drone that is feasible, i.e., that can be completed with the available energy autonomy of the drone.

Routing Drones Being Aware of Wind Conditions: a Case Study

Menanggapi  permasalahan  yang  ada  dibidang  industri  serta  kemajuan teknologi  elektronika  dan komunikasi yang  semakin  pesat  sementara  dalam  dunia  telekomunikasi  itu sendiri  banyak  peningkatan jenis pesan dan komunikasi yang menggunakan GSM,  pada era globalisasi dan informasi pada zaman sekarang pengiriman dan penerimaan pesan lebih banyak ragamnya. Mulai dari pesan teks, gambar, data, audio dan video, dari perkembangan pesan dari berbagai regenerasi tersebut. Dalam skripsi ini hanya menggunakan pesan teks SMS untuk pengendalian Quadcopter dengan berbasis arduino uno R3. Pada umumnya Quadcopter dikendalikan dengan remote control atau dengan sensor tertentu, tapi rancangan Quadcopter yang dikendalikan menggunakan modul GSM dengan mode SMS teks untuk perintah kerja dan yang akan dibaca oleh Arduino Uno R3 yang akan dikonversi kedalam bahasa C oleh Arduino Uno R3 itu sendiri melalui library GSM.
