HPV circulating tumoral DNA quantification by droplet-based digital PCR: A promising predictive and prognostic biomarker for HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancers
David Veyer,Maxime Wack,Marion Mandavit,Sonia Garrigou,Stéphane Hans,Pierre Bonfils,Eric Tartour,Laurent Bélec,Shu-Fang Wang-Renault,Pierre Laurent-Puig,Haitham Mirghani,Bastien Rance,Valérie Taly,Cécile Badoual,Hélène Péré +14 more
TL;DR: HPV ctDNA monitoring by ddPCR could constitute a useful and noninvasive dynamic biomarker to select HR HPV‐related OPSCC patients eligible for potential treatment de‐escalation and to monitor treatment response.

Release of infectious virus and cytokines in nasopharyngeal swabs from individuals infected with non-alpha or alpha SARS-CoV-2 variants: an observational retrospective study.
Blandine Monel,Delphine Planas,Ludivine Grzelak,Nikaïa Smith,Nicolas Robillard,Isabelle Staropoli,Pedro de Araújo Gonçalves,Françoise Porrot,Florence Guivel-Benhassine,Nathalie Demory Guinet,Julien Rodary,Julien Puech,Victor Euzen,Laurent Bélec,Galdric Orvoen,Lea Nunes,Veronique Moulin,Jacques Fourgeaud,Maxime Wack,Sandrine Imbeaud,Pascal Campagne,Darragh Duffy,James P. Di Santo,Timothée Bruel,Hélène Péré,David Veyer,Olivier Schwartz +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 alpha variant shedding and immune responses at the nasal mucosa remain poorly characterised, and the authors measured infectious viral release, antibodies and cytokines in 426 PCR+ nasopharyngeal swabs from individuals harboring non-alpha or alpha variants.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed an observational multicenter retrospective cohort study to examine the association between psychiatric disorders and mortality among patients hospitalized for laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 at 36 Greater Paris University hospitals.
HPV detection and genotyping of head and neck cancer biopsies by molecular testing with regard to the new oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma classification based on HPV status
David Veyer,Maxime Wack,Ophélie Grard,Pierre Bonfils,Stéphane Hans,Laurent Bélec,Cécile Badoual,Hélène Péré +7 more
TL;DR: Two commercially available molecular assays that were first designed for cervical HPV detection and genotyping on FFPE biopsy samples of head and neck tumours are compared and it is demonstrated that both assays could be used in routine HPV Detection and genotype testing on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded biopsy specimens.
