TL;DR: In this paper , the authors discuss five adolescents with SCD and SARS CoV-2 infection who subsequently developed complex pain circumstances manifested as: increased frequency of acute care visits or admissions for pain; new onset chronic pain, new onset neuropathic pain; escalation in the complexity of pharmacologic therapies; increased use of nonpharmacologic interventions.
