TL;DR: In this article, the thermal expansion of olivine between 20 and 298 K determined by X-ray diffraction was investigated. But the authors only considered the case of Olivine that undergoes to low temperatures, where volume variations appeared positively correlated with temperatures.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was considered that analysis of residual stresses at the scale of mineral grains within a polycrystalline aggregate such as a rock is virtually intractable, but this is no longer true.
