Evaluation of Crop Type Classification with Different High Resolution Satellite Data Sources
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the different capability of these three data sources for the crop type mapping in the same area and within the same growing season, and the results showed that GF-1 relatively has the lowest accuracy as a consequence of the limited spectral bands, but the accuracy is still excellent and acceptable for crop type classification.
Crop Mapping with Combined Use of European and Chinese Satellite Data
Jinlong Fan,Pierre Defourny,Xiaoyu Zhang,Qinghan Dong,Limin Wang,Zhihao Qin,Mathilde De Vroey,Chunliang Zhao +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a scheme for the validation of the crop mapping with the combined use of time series high- and medium-resolution satellite data when suitable approaches are chosen to handle the data for the classification of crop types.

- 11 Jul 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, a grassland mowing product, based on Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 time series, was developed recently in the frame of ESA's Sentinels for Common Agricultural Policy (Sen4CAP) project.

Classifying Sub-Parcel Grassland Management Practices by Optical and Microwave Remote Sensing
TL;DR: In this article , a pixel-based supervised classification was used to differentiate grazed pastures from mown hay meadows and then an object-based mowing detection method was employed to retrieve the timing and frequency of mowing events.
