TL;DR: In this paper, the European NUTS2 regions' performance for those indicators that contribute to the definition of competitiveness was analyzed and the existence of a competitiveness divide between Northern European countries, which report better performances for most of the competitiveness indicators, and Southern/Eastern ones.

Measuring retailers’ perceptions of new metro stations inauguration
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an ex-ante analysis by measuring retailers' perceptions with respect to the inauguration of new metro stations and found that the increase of accessibility brought by new interventions in the transit system increases the attractiveness of the area for retailer's shops location choice.
