In Indonesia, the impact of the pandemic was quite severe. This is evidenced by the high mortality rate. To reduce its spread, the minister of education and the government imposed an online learning system which was found to be less effective at elementary school levels, especially in physical education and health lessons, which required a lot of physical activity. Various obstacles that occurred in the learning model in the network resulted in educators preferring the limited face-to-face learning model as a means of delivering material to students. Despite the great risk, it turns out that this limited face-to-face learning model is more effectively used than other learning models. To reduce risk, health protocols must be carried out before starting learning. The results of this limited face-to-face learning show an increase in students' understanding of the material at MI Maarif NU Kebalandono. As a suggestion, a professional teacher must also be able to adapt and adjust to the learning they will do in class under any conditions so that the competencies expected in the curriculum can be conveyed properly to students.

Face-To-Face Learning Methods Are Limited in Overcoming Students' Learning Difficulties During The Pandemic Covid-19

The success of learning mathematics in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains is difficult to realize if the use of blended learning in learning mathematics is not carried out optimally. This research had the main objective to provide information about the field trial results towards the platform usage of Kelase which was integrated with Tri Kaya Parisudha concept in order to realize blended learning which patterned of Hybrid-Superitem to support the mathematics learning effectiveness at the level of senior high schools/vocational schools in Bali. This research applied a development approach with the development stages, which followed the Borg & Gall design by focusing on the stages of field trial and field trial revision. Subjects who were involved in conducting field trials in this study were 184 people consisting of education experts, informatics experts, teachers, and students who came from several senior high schools/vocational schools which there were in Bali Province. The data collection tools were in the form of field trial questionnaires. The quantitative descriptive by comparing the effectiveness of the field trial results with the effectiveness standard that was referring to eleven scales was the data analysis technique used. The field trial results showed an effectiveness percentage average was 88.49% so that the platforms which developed were classified as good.

The field trial of Kelase-Tri Kaya Parisudha platform to realize Hybrid-Superitem patterned blended learning for mathematics subject

Statistics are very important for students to master, but many experience difficulties. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of a combination of blended learning and problem based learning in improving student motivation, independence, and statistical learning achievement. This research is a quasi-experimental study conducted on IAIN Ponorogo students. The instruments used for data collection were achievement tests, learning independence tests, and learning motivation questionnaires. The data collected was analyzed using MANOVA and continued with the Bonferroni Test. The result of the MANOVA test has obtained a significance of 0.000 so that it can be concluded that the combination of blended learning and problem-based learning was more effective in increasing student motivation, independence, and statistical learning achievement than blended learning and problem based learning methods. Specifically, the combination method is more effective in increasing student learning motivation than blended learning and problem-based learning. In the aspect of increasing student learning independence, the combination method has the same effectiveness as problem-based learning. Both are more effective in increasing the independence of student learning than blended learning. Whereas in the aspect of learning achievement, the combination method is more effective in increasing student statistical learning achievement than blended learning and problem-based learning.

Study in statistics: motivation, independence, and learning achievement

Learning physics requires understanding the concept so that students can analyze the relationship between concepts to explain a natural phenomenon. However, students need clarification and help to understand and analyze physics concepts. So to train to understand, students need self-directed learning. This study aims to analyze students' conceptual understanding, learning independence, and the effect of student learning independence on students' conceptual understanding of straight motion in blended learning. The sample in this study was 22 students of class X. The method in this study was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest group design. The instrument used in data collection is a test. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon test and the one-sample T-test. The study results show that blended learning can significantly improve students' conceptual comprehension abilities and learning independence in straight-motion material. It is because students can learn independently during the learning process, so they are more active, creative, and independent in understanding a concept. Learning with blended learning influences understanding concepts, and understanding concepts affects students' self-directed learning.

Students’ Conceptual Understanding and Self-Directed Learning on Blended Learning

In 2019, the government announced the Movement Control Order due to pandemic covid19. The situation leads to the closure of every school and premises to avoid the number of cases increasing. Every teacher conducts online classes where most of the students also facing difficulties in following the session. The study aims is to propose an online courseware for a lowly-achieving student based on communication subject. This study focuses on the development of courseware for form 1 of secondary school user. Lowly functional students are referring to students who unable to master the skills of reading, writing, and counting at a minimal level. The methodology used in this research is the evolutionary prototype with the integration of the SAM model, an instructional design model. A quantitative study was made among teachers and parents. As a result, a courseware called the BrightEdu were developed to help the children agree with the theoretical conclusions and research results of other authors.
