Glycosylation Specific for Adhesion Molecules in Epidermis and Its Receptor Revealed by Glycoform-focused Reverse Genomics
Rie Uematsu,Yasuro Shinohara,Hiroaki Nakagawa,Masaki Kurogochi,Jun-ichi Furukawa,Yoshiaki Miura,Masashi Akiyama,Hiroshi Shimizu,Shin-Ichiro Nishimura +8 more
TL;DR: A novel approach to link different “omics” data based on exhaustive quantitative glycomics of murine dermis and epidermis to provide mechanistic insight into the causal connection between the genotype and the phenotype seen in α3GalT-1-deficient mice and transgenic mice expressing endo-β-galactosidase C.
Buruli Ulcer Successfully Treated With Negative-Pressure Wound Therapy.
TL;DR: A patient who had been using brimonidine for nearly 7 months before developing what is believed to be a novel adverse drug reaction is described, and it is hypothesized that the reaction seen in this patient represents a compensatory vasodilation of vessels in the surrounding skin due to chronic vasoconstriction at the site of long-term Brimonidine use.
Prevalence of dermatological disorders in Japan: A nationwide, cross-sectional, seasonal, multicenter, hospital-based study
Masutaka Furue,Souji Yamazaki,Koichi Jimbow,Tetsuya Tsuchida,Masayuki Amagai,Toshihiro Tanaka,Kayoko Matsunaga,Masahiko Muto,Eishin Morita,Masashi Akiyama,Yoshinao Soma,Tadashi Terui,Motomu Manabe +12 more
TL;DR: Males showed a greater susceptibility to some diseases (psoriasis, erythroderma, diabetic dermatoses, inter alia), whereas females were more susceptible to others (erythema nodosum, collagen diseases, livedo reticularis/racemosa, hand eczema, interAlia).
A case with overlapping features of IgG4-related autoimmune pancreatitis, Sjögren's syndrome and anti-aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase syndrome.
Masato Yoshikawa,Yoshinao Muro,Mariko Ogawa-Momohara,Satoru Ito,Takuya Takeichi,Masashi Akiyama +5 more
- 02 Jan 2021
TL;DR: This is a unique case who had overlapping features of IgG4-related autoimmune pancreatitis, Sjögren’s syndrome and anti-synthetase syndrome and autoimmunity might have played a significant role in the disease conditions and prognosis.
Two novel anti-aminoacyl tRNA synthetase antibodies: Autoantibodies against cysteinyl-tRNA synthetase and valyl-tRNA synthetase.
Yoshinao Muro,Yuta Yamashita,Haruka Koizumi,Mariko Ogawa-Momohara,Takuya Takeichi,Teruyuki Mitsuma,Masashi Akiyama +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the anti-aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (anti-ARS) antibodies are useful for identifying a clinical subset of patients with inflammatory myopathies.
