A case of drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome showing transient immunosuppression before viral reactivation during treatment for pemphigus foliaceus.
Hayato Takahashi,Masaru Tanaka,Akiko Tanikawa,A. Toyohara,Y. Ogo,A. Morimoto,R. Harato,Makoto Kobayashi,Masayuki Amagai +8 more
TL;DR: The number of lymphocytes in his peripheral blood, and titres of serum total IgG and IgM and anti‐desmoglein1 antibody transiently decreased just before reactivation of HHV‐6, cytomegalovirus and Epstein–Barr virus suggest that transient suppression of both cellular and humoral immunity may trigger viral reactivation, which leads to the development of the second phase of DIHS.
Minimum requirements for digital images in dermatological publications.
TL;DR: A 75-year-old man presented with a rapidly growing pigmented lesion on the occipital region of the scalp and would seem to have received sufficient radiation exposure to develop a squamous cell carcinoma after a long latency, which developed on the irradiated scalp.
Accuracy in melanoma detection: A 10-year multicenter survey

TL;DR: Over the 10-year study period, accuracy in melanoma detection improved only in specialized clinics maybe because of a larger use of new diagnostic techniques such as dermatoscopy.
Successful resection of a hypervascular paravertebral solitary fibrous tumor of pleura preserving the artery of Adamkiewicz, which was detected on preoperative angiography
Takehiko Manabe,Masataka Mori,Masatoshi Kanayama,Taiji Kuwata,Masaru Tanaka,Koji Kuroda,Satoshi Fukumitsu,Yu Murakami,Takatoshi Aoki,Toshiyuki Nakayama,Fumihiro Tanaka +10 more
TL;DR: It is recommended that preoperative transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is performed for hypervascular tumors close to the AKA that may require surgical removal; to reduce intraoperative hemorrhage, theAKA should be accurately detected during surgery.
CD155 expression and its clinical significance in non-small cell lung cancer
Rintarou Oyama,Masatoshi Kanayama,Masataka Mori,Hiroki Matsumiya,Akihiro Taira,Shinji Shinohara,Masaru Tanaka,Kazue Yoneda,Koji Kuroda,Fumihiro Tanaka +9 more
TL;DR: CD155-positivity was associated with aggressive tumor behavior, and was a factor to predict a poor prognosis, and its prognostic impact was enhanced when combined with PD-L1 expression status.
