Lightning damage suppression in a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer with a polyaniline-based conductive thermoset matrix
Yoshiyasu Hirano,Tomohiro Yokozeki,Yuichi Ishida,Teruya Goto,Tatsuhiro Takahashi,Danna Qian,Shoji Ito,Toshio Ogasawara,Masaru Ishibashi +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminate with a newly developed polyaniline (PANI)-based conductive thermosetting resin was experimentally examined by conducting simulated lightning and residual strength tests.

Fracture toughness improvement of CFRP laminates by dispersion of cup-stacked carbon nanotubes
Tomohiro Yokozeki,Yutaka Iwahori,Masaru Ishibashi,Takashi Yanagisawa,Kazunari Imai,Masahiro Arai,Tatsuhiro Takahashi,Kiyoshi Enomoto +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, several techniques are introduced to enhance the interlaminar fracture toughness of CFRP laminates using cup-stacked carbon nanotubes (CSCNTs).

Development and characterization of CFRP using a polyaniline-based conductive thermoset matrix
Tomohiro Yokozeki,Teruya Goto,Tatsuhiro Takahashi,Danna Qian,Shouji Itou,Yoshiyasu Hirano,Yuichi Ishida,Masaru Ishibashi,Toshio Ogasawara +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the development of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) using a polyaniline (PANI)-based electrically conductive thermoset matrix to enhance its electrical properties is described.

Evaluation of adhesively bonded joint strength of CFRP with laser treatment
TL;DR: It was concluded that laser surface treatment can be applied to the surface treatment process of CFRP bonded structures and adhesive strength similar to abrasive paper treatment could be obtained in the specimens with appropriate laser treatment.

- 25 Jul 2005
TL;DR: In this paper, a heat transfer fluid is obtained by adding a carbon nanotube having a surface functional group on the side surface relative to the length direction and a dispersant to a base liquid.
