A look at molecular nanosized magnets from the aspect of inter-molecular interactions.
TL;DR: Personal perspectives on single-molecule magnets and single-chain magnets are given and their potential applications as ultimate memory devices or in quantum computations are given.

Control of charge transfer in a series of Ru2(II,II)/TCNQ two-dimensional networks by tuning the electron affinity of TCNQ units: a route to synergistic magnetic/conducting materials.
Hitoshi Miyasaka,Natsuko Motokawa,Satoshi Matsunaga,Masahiro Yamashita,Kunihisa Sugimoto,Tatsuya Mori,Naoki Toyota,Kim R. Dunbar +7 more
TL;DR: The isostructural series of two-dimensional (2-D) fishnet-type network compounds, synthesized from the reactions of a paddlewheel diruthenium(II, II) complex, are concluded that molecular design based on an interunit charge transfer paramagnetic lattice design of materials with magnetic and conducting synergism with an activation energy of 200-300 meV is based on.

Scaling Up Electronic Spin Qubits into a Three-Dimensional Metal-Organic Framework
Tsutomu Yamabayashi,Matteo Atzori,Lorenzo Tesi,Goulven Cosquer,Fabio Santanni,Marie-Emmanuelle Boulon,Elena Morra,Stefano Benci,Renato Torre,Renato Torre,Mario Chiesa,Lorenzo Sorace,Roberta Sessoli,Masahiro Yamashita,Masahiro Yamashita +14 more
TL;DR: Pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance measurements on magnetically diluted samples in titanyl isostructural analogues revealed that coherence times are retained almost unchanged for 1 with respect to 2 up to room temperature, while the temperature dependence of the spin-lattice relaxation time revealed insights into the role of low-energy vibrations on the spin dynamics.

Three-Dimensional Antiferromagnetic Order of Single-Chain Magnets: A New Approach to Design Molecule-Based Magnets
Hitoshi Miyasaka,Karin Takayama,Ayumi Saitoh,Sachie Furukawa,Masahiro Yamashita,Rodolphe Clérac,Rodolphe Clérac +6 more
TL;DR: By controlling both intra- and interchain magnetic interactions in this new [Mn(III)Ni(II)] SCM system, a remarkable AF phase with a magnet-type behavior has been stabilized in relation with the intrinsic SCM properties of the chains present in 1.

Sample dependence of half-integer quantized thermal Hall effect in the Kitaev spin-liquid candidate α − RuCl 3
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the sample dependence of the half-integer thermal Hall effect in the Kitaev model under a magnetic field tilted from the c$ axis to the a$ axis.
