Electrochemically promoted C-N bond formation from amines and CO2 in ionic liquid BMIm-BF4: Synthesis of carbamates.
TL;DR: A new electrochemical procedure for the synthesis of organic carbamates from amines and carbon dioxide has been developed using selective cathodic reduction of carbon dioxide in CO2-saturated room-temperature ionic liquid BMIm-BF4 solutions containing amines 1a-j, followed by addition of EtI as an alkylating agent.

Electrochemically promoted C-N bond formation from acetylenic amines and CO2. Synthesis of 5-methylene-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones.
TL;DR: An efficient electrochemical synthesis of 5-methylene-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones from acetylenic amines and carbon dioxide has been achieved by direct electrolysis of solution of MeCN and Et4NPF6 containing the amine, with subsequent CO2 bubbling and heating.

Electrochemical Synthesis of Carbon Quantum Dots
TL;DR: In this article , a review of the principal and most recent advances in the electrochemical synthesis of CDs is presented, focusing on electrochemical set-up optimization, with the possibility to fine-tune their characteristics by changing operational parameters.

Reactivity of Electrogenerated N-Heterocyclic Carbenes in Room-Temperature Ionic Liquids. Cyclization to 2-Azetidinone Ring via C-3/C-4 Bond Formation
TL;DR: The intrinsic chemistry of imidazolium-based room-temperature ionic liquids can be modified via cathodic cleavage of the C-2/hydrogen bond N-Heterocyclic carbenes are stable bases that are strong enough to deprotonate bromoamides la-k yielding azetidin-2-one ring via C-3/C-4 bond formation as mentioned in this paper.
