Vision-Based Fallen Person Detection for the Elderly
Markus D. Solbach,John K. Tsotsos +1 more
- 01 Oct 2017
TL;DR: In this article, a human fall detector using a CNN-based human pose estimator in combination with stereo data to reconstruct the human pose and estimate the ground plane in 3D.

Totally Looks Like - How Humans Compare, Compared to Machines.
TL;DR: The Totally-Look-Like (TLL) dataset as mentioned in this paper contains images paired by humans as being visually similar, which are then used to train a deep CNN for image similarity estimation.

Stereo SLAM for robust dense 3D reconstruction of underwater environments
Francisco Bonin-Font,Aleksandar Cosic,Pep Lluis Negre,Markus D. Solbach,Gabriel Oliver +4 more
- 18 May 2015
TL;DR: A comparison of two different SLAM approaches based on stereo-vision, a graph-SLAM and an EKF SLAM, applied to localize, in real time, an AUV moving in underwater environments, to assess and compare the performance of both solutions in terms of accuracy in the estimation of the robot pose.

On the control of attentional processes in vision.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors make the first steps towards this by addressing the necessity of attentional control, examining the breadth and computational difficulty of the visuospatial and attentional tasks seen in human behavior.
