Technical data mining with evolutionary radial basis function classifiers
Markus Bauer,Oliver Buchtala,Timo Horeis,Ralf Kern,Bernhard Sick,Robert Wagner +5 more
- 01 Mar 2009
TL;DR: It is shown how an evolutionary algorithm can be used to optimize radial basis function (RBF) neural networks used for classification tasks and how appropriate training algorithms for RBF networks and penalty terms in the fitness function of the EA may improve the understandability of the extracted rules.

Artificial Intelligence in Laser Powder Bed Fusion Procedures – Neural Networks for Live-Detection and Forecasting of Printing Failures.
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed an AI-driven approach to identify and forecast printing errors in laser powder bed fusion process (LPBF) using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and the Cox proportional hazards (CPH) approach.

Process identification and quality control with evolutionary optimized RBF classifiers
Markus Bauer,Oliver Buchtala,T. Horeis,R. Kern,Bernhard Sick,R. Wagner +5 more
- 28 Jun 2005
TL;DR: An evolutionary algorithm that performs feature and model selection for classifiers based on radial basis function networks is described, set out by means of two industrial application examples in the areas of process identification and quality control.

Thermal separation of silanes comprises injecting the silane mixture in a rectification unit exhibiting an output part and a reinforcing part
Markus Bauer,Thomas Nitz +1 more
- 03 Mar 2008
TL;DR: In this paper, a rectification unit exhibiting an output part and a reinforcing part, where the reinforcing part is operated at a high pressure than the output part, and the heat from the reinforcement part is delivered to the output parts.

Verfahren zur Aufreinigung von Kohlendioxid enthaltenden Prozessgasen aus der Herstellung von Vinylacetat
Markus Bauer
- 08 Oct 2015
TL;DR: Gegenstand der Erfindung sind Verfahren zur Aufreinigung von Kohlendioxid enthaltenden Prozessgasen aus der Herstellung von Vinylacetat nach Umsetzung von Ethylen mit Essigsaure and Sauerstoff in heterogen katalysierten, kontinuierlichen Gasphasenprozessen, dadurch gekennzeichnet as discussed by the authors.
