Overactive Bladder Is Strongly Associated With Frailty in Older Individuals.
Anne M. Suskind,Kathryn Quanstrom,Shoujun Zhao,Mark Bridge,Louise C. Walter,John Neuhaus,Emily Finlayson +6 more
TL;DR: Patients with OAB are statistically significantly frailer than individuals seeking care for other non-oncologic urologic diagnoses and frailty, when adjusted for age, race, and gender, is a statistically significant predictor of OAB.

The Timed Up and Go Test as a Measure of Frailty in Urologic Practice
Jayce Pangilinan,Kathryn Quanstrom,Mark Bridge,Louise C. Walter,Emily Finlayson,Anne M. Suskind +5 more
TL;DR: Among the population, prefrailty and frailty were common, TUGT times increased with age and varied by urology diagnosis, but did not differ between patients who did and did not undergo urologic surgery, presenting an opportunity to consider frailty in preoperative surgical decision making.

The Association Between Race and Frailty in Older Adults Presenting to a Nononcologic Urology Practice
Samuel L. Washington,Sima P. Porten,Kathryn Quanstrom,Chengshi Jin,Mark Bridge,Emily Finlayson,Louise C. Walter,Louise C. Walter,Anne M. Suskind +8 more
TL;DR: Among older adults presenting to an academic nononcologic urology practice, nonwhite race was associated with increased odds of frailty, and a greater understanding of the relationship between race and frailty is needed to better address the needs of this vulnerable population.

CD4+ CAR-T cell exhaustion associated with early relapse of multiple myeloma after BCMA CAR-T cell therapy.
Guy Ledergor,Zenghua Fan,Elizabeth E. McCarthy,Axel Hyrenius-Wittsten,Alec Starzinski,Hewitt Chang,Mark Bridge,Serena S. Kwek,Alexander Cheung,Sophia Anna Bylsma,Erik Hansen,J. Wolf,Sandy W. Wong,Nina Shah,Kole T. Roybal,Thomas Martin,Chun Jimmie Ye,Lawrence Fong +17 more
TL;DR: It is found that patients with a durable response to CAR-T cell treatment had greater persistence of their CAR-T cells compared to patients with transient clinical responses, and non-classical monocytes are enriched in the myeloma niche and may induce CAR-T cell dysfunction through mechanisms that include TGFβ.

Modulation of myeloid and T cells in vivo by Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor ibrutinib in patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Meenal Sinha,Courtney Betts,Li Zhang,M. Griffith,Isabelle G. Solman,Brandon Chen,E Liu,Whitney Tamaki,Jacob Stultz,Jaqueline Marquez,Shamilene Sivagnanam,Alexander Cheung,Denise Pener,Anne Fahlman,Erin N. Taber,Kimberly Lerner,Matthew Crocker,K. TL;DR: A phase 1b clinical trial was conducted to determine the safety, tolerability, and immunologic effects of ibrutinib treatment in patients with advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) as mentioned in this paper .
