Alteration and abnormal expression of the c-myc oncogene in human multiple myeloma.
Selvanayagam P,Mark Blick,Franco Narni,P. van Tuinen,David H. Ledbetter,Raymond Alexanian,Grady F. Saunders,Bart Barlogie +7 more
TL;DR: In two patients with multiple myeloma, somatic cell hybrid studies revealed that the cloned rearranged DNA was entirely derived from chromosome 8, thus indicating a novel mechanism of c-myc activation different from that in Burkitt's lymphoma.

Heterogeneity of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma probed by nucleic acid cytometry
John R. Srigley,Bart Barlogie,James J. Butler,Barbara M. Osborne,Mark Blick,Dennis A. Johnston,Hagop M. Kantarjian,J. M. Reuben,John G. Batsakis,Emil J. Freireich +9 more
TL;DR: Among intermediate-grade and high-grade lymphomas, increased proliferative activity and diploidy were associated with more frequent responses to treatment and allowed an objective approach to lymphoma classification based on ploidy, proliferation, and RNA characteristics that also had prognostic implications.

Molecular analysis of interferon-induced suppression of Philadelphia chromosome in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia.
TL;DR: The complete disappearance of rearranged restriction fragments of the bcr gene was accompanied by the restoration of normal bone marrow and achievement of durable ongoing complete remission for 9 and 6 months, respectively, in two patients with Philadelphia-positive (Ph1+) CML.

Bioactive egf peptides for promotion of tissue regeneration and cancer therapy
Gary E. Gallick,Jins S. Lee,Ralph B. Arlinghaus,Mark Blick +3 more
- 09 Aug 1991
TL;DR: A biologically active cyclic synthetic peptide analog having an amino acid sequence similar to that of native epidermal growth factor between amino acids 32-48 is revealed in this paper, which is used in cancer therapeutic applications and in the promotion of wound healing, especially burn wounds and peptic ulcer disease.

c-K-ras codon 12 GGT-CGT point mutation. An infrequent event in human lung cancer.
TL;DR: The data suggest that this point mutation GGT-CGT is rarely present in human lung cancer and therefore is not likely to play a major role in cancer development.
