mirDIP 4.1-integrative database of human microRNA target predictions
Tomas Tokar,Chiara Pastrello,Andrea E. M. Rossos,Mark Abovsky,Anne-Christin Hauschild,Mike J. Tsay,Richard Lu,Igor Jurisica +7 more
TL;DR: This work presents mirDIP v4.1, providing nearly 152 million human microRNA–target predictions, which were collected across 30 different resources, and demonstrates that integrating predictions across multiple resources does not cumulate prediction bias toward biological processes or pathways.

Estrogen Receptor 1 Inhibition of Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling Contributes to Sex Differences in Hepatocarcinogenesis
Mamatha Bhat,Elisa Pasini,Chiara Pastrello,Marc Angeli,Cristina Baciu,Mark Abovsky,Angella Coffee,Oyedele Adeyi,Max Kotlyar,Igor Jurisica +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to understand the mechanism of estrogen receptor signaling in driving sex differences in hepatocarcinogenesis and showed that the most central protein, ESR1, is prognostic for overall survival, with HR=0.45 (95%CI 0.32-0.64, p=4.4E-06), and was more pronounced in women.

Drugst. One - A plug-and-play solution for online systems medicine and network-based drug repurposing
Andreas Maier,Michael Hartung,Mark Abovsky,Klaudia Adamowicz,Gary D. Bader,David Blumenthal,Jing Chen,Maria L. Elkjaer,Markus Hoffmann,Igor Jurisica,Max Kotlyar,Olga Lazareva,Hagai Levi,Markus List,Sebastian Lobentanzer,Joseph Loscalzo,Noël Malod-Dognin,Q. Manz,Julian Matschinske,Mhaned Oubounyt,Alexander R. MirDIP 5.2: tissue context annotation and novel microRNA curation
Anne-Christin Hauschild,Chiara Pastrello,Gitta Kirana Anindya Ekaputeri,Dylan Bethune-Waddell,Mark Abovsky,Zuhaib Ahmed,Max Kotlyar,Richard Lu,Igor Jurisica +8 more
TL;DR: MirDIP 5.2 as mentioned in this paper is a well-known database that aggregates microRNA-gene human interactions from multiple databases to increase coverage, reduce bias, and improve usability by providing an integrated score proportional to the probability of the interaction occurring.
PathDIP 5: improving coverage and making enrichment analysis more biologically meaningful.
Chiara Pastrello,Max Kotlyar,Mark Abovsky,Richard Lu,I. Jurisica +4 more
TL;DR: In addition to genes, pathDIP 5 now includes metabolites and is updated existing databases, included two new sources, PathBank and MetabolicAtlas, and removed outdated databases.
