Determinants of frontline tyrosine kinase inhibitor choice for patients with chronic-phase chronic myeloid leukemia: A study from the Registro Italiano LMC and Campus CML.
Mario Tiribelli,Roberto Latagliata,Massimo Breccia,Isabella Capodanno,M C Miggiano,Francesco Cavazzini,Cristina Bucelli,Immacolata Attolico,Sabrina Leonetti Crescenzi,Sabina Russo,Mario Annunziata,Federica Sorà,Massimiliano Bonifacio,Olga Mulas,Giuseppina Loglisci,Alessandro Maggi,Gianni Binotto,Elena Crisà,Anna Rita Scortechini,Anna Paola Leporace,R Sancetta,Pamela Murgano,Elisabetta Abruzzese,Fabio Stagno,Davide Rapezzi,Debora Luzi,Iolanda Vincelli,Monica Bocchia,Carmen Fava,Alessandra Malato,Monica Crugnola,Michele Pizzuti,Francesca Lunghi,Sara Galimberti,Matteo Dalmazzo,Renato Fanin,Emilia Scalzulli,Robin Foà,Alessandra Iurlo,Giuseppe Saglio,Giorgina Specchia +40 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyzed the use of frontline TKI therapy in an unselected cohort of Italian patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CP-CML) to correlate the choice with the patient's features, and found that second-generation TKIs were chosen for most patients aged <45 years (69.2%), whereas imatinib was used in 76.7% of patients aged >65 years (p = 0.001).

TL;DR: It is concluded that FIP1L1-PDGFRA rearrangement may be useful molecular marker of myeloproliferative HES, a predictor of imatinib-responsiveness and as a means to follow therapy in this subgroup of pts.

Lemoli,Antonio Cuneo,Mauro Krampera,Daniela Bartoletti,Michele Cavo,Nicola Vianelli,Massimo Breccia,Roberto Latagliata +29 more
TL;DR: It is observed that early‐PMF patients achieve better and more stable spleen and symptoms responses, with significantly lower rates of hematological toxicities.

BCL-2 Expression in AML Patients over 65 Years: Impact on Outcomes across Different Therapeutic Strategies.
Mario Tiribelli,Angela Michelutti,Margherita Cavallin,Sara Di Giusto,Erica Simeone,Renato Fanin,Daniela Damiani +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of BCL-2 expression on complete remission (CR) and overall survival in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients was evaluated in 113 patients aged ≥65 years treated with 3 + 7 chemotherapy (n = 51) or hypomethylating agents (HMAs).

BCR::ABL1 levels at first month after TKI discontinuation predict subsequent maintenance of treatment‐free remission: A study from the “GRUPPO TRIVENETO LMC”
TL;DR: In this article , BCR::ABL1 expression at stop and in the first month after discontinuation in 168 chronic myeloid leukemia patients who stopped imatinib or 2nd generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors (2G-TKIs) while in sustained deep molecular response.
