TL;DR: The results indicate that in LPD operative time is significantly longer than in PD, and moreover the laparoscopic approach is not associated with a shorter hospital stay, therefore LPD should be performed only in well-established laparoscopy and oncological centers with a multidisciplinary team.

TL;DR: Laroscopy can diagnose pelvic disease that could be characterized by the same symptoms of acute appendicitis, then laparoscopic appendectomy is suggested even just to complete the diagnostic iter.
