Cytotoxicity of deoxycoformycin on human colon carcinoma cell lines.
Marcella Camici,M. Turriani,Gino Turchi,Maria Grazia Tozzi,J. Cos,Cristina Alemany,Véronique Noé,Carlos J. Ciudad +7 more
TL;DR: The different sensitivity of the three cell lines to DCF is well related to their distinct purine salvage enzyme pattern, thus supporting, in a general point of view, the enzymatic approach to the choice of a suitable Chemotherapic agent.

Cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase/nucleoside phosphotransferase: a single assay for a bifunctional enzyme.
TL;DR: A method was applied to the determination of the KM for inosine by taking advantage of the observation that deoxyGMP is both a good substrate for hydrolysis and a good phosphate donor for the phosphotransferase reaction, but its dephosphorylated product, deoxyguanosine, is not a phosphate acceptor.

Identification of the 5′‐Nucleotidase Activity Altered in Neurological Syndromes
Rossana Pesi,Marcella Camici,V. Micheli,L. Notarantonio,Gabriella Jacomelli,Maria Grazia Tozzi +5 more
TL;DR: This paper presents a protocol for the identification of the altered enzyme in fibroblasts primary culture from patients and controls and describes its role in neurological disorders.
