Electroluminescence Generation in PbS Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Field-Effect Transistors with Solid-State Gating
Artem G. Shulga,Simon Kahmann,Dmitry N. Dirin,Dmitry N. Dirin,Arko Graf,Jana Zaumseil,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Maria Antonietta Loi +8 more
TL;DR: This work reports on a LEFET based on lead sulfide quantum dots processed from solution that shows state-of-the-art electronic behavior and emits near-infrared photons with a quantum yield exceeding 1% when cooled.
Effect of thermal annealing on exciton diffusion in a diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative
Oleksandr V. Mikhnenko,Jason Lin,Ying Shu,John E. Anthony,Paul W. M. Blom,Thuc-Quyen Nguyen,Maria Antonietta Loi +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the exciton diffusion length is decreased upon annealing from 9 to 3 nm in a thin film of a diketopyrrolopyrrole derivative.
Electron Mobility of 24 cm(2) V-1 s(-1) in PbSe Colloidal-Quantum-Dot Superlattices
Daniel M. Balazs,Bartosz Mateusz Matysiak,Jamo Momand,Artem G. Shulga,Maria Ibáñez,Maria Ibáñez,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Maksym V. Kovalenko,Bart J. Kooi,Maria Antonietta Loi +9 more
TL;DR: The considerable mobility with the simultaneous preservation of the optical bandgap displays the vast potential of colloidal QD superlattices for optoelectronic applications.
Brightening of dark excitons in 2D perovskites.
M. Dyksik,M. Dyksik,Herman Duim,Duncan K Maude,Michal Baranowski,Maria Antonietta Loi,Paulina Plochocka,Paulina Plochocka +7 more
TL;DR: Optically inactive dark exciton states play an important role in light emission processes in semiconductors because they provide an efficient nonradiative recombination channel as discussed by the authors, and they play a crucial role in the light emission process.

Novel Er3+ Perfluorinated Complexes for Broadband Sensitized Near Infrared Emission
Angelo Monguzzi,Riccardo Tubino,Francesco Meinardi,Alessio Orbelli Biroli,Maddalena Pizzotti,Francesco Demartin,Francesco Quochi,Fabrizio Cordella,Maria Antonietta Loi +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of novel fluorinated Er3+ complexes emitting at the telecommunications wavelengths are presented and optimized on the basis of an extensive photophysical investigation on the processes controlling the overall quantum yield, namely (i) the energy transfer process from the light harvesting conjugated antenna to the emitting ion and (ii) the nonradiative quenching of the lanthanide emission.
