GPI-microdomains: a role in signalling via immunoreceptors
Václav Hořejší,Karel Drbal,Marek Cebecauer,Marek Cebecauer,Jan Černý,Jan Černý,Tomas Brdicka,Pavla Angelisova,Hannes Stockinger +8 more
TL;DR: Recent results suggest that these membrane specializations mediate not only signal transduction via GPI-proteins and glycolipids but also play important roles in initiation of signalling via immunoreceptors.

Altered NKG2D function in NK cells induced by chronic exposure to NKG2D ligand–expressing tumor cells
Jérôme D. Coudert,Jacques Zimmer,Jacques Zimmer,Jacques Zimmer,Elena Tomasello,Elena Tomasello,Elena Tomasello,Marek Cebecauer,Marek Cebecauer,Marek Cebecauer,Marco Colonna,Marco Colonna,Marco Colonna,Eric Vivier,Eric Vivier,Eric Vivier,Werner Held,Werner Held,Werner Held +18 more
TL;DR: It is shown here that the prolonged encounter with tumor cell-bound, but not soluble, ligand can completely uncouple the NKG2D receptor from the intracellular mobilization of calcium and the exertion of cell-mediated cytolysis.

Signalling complexes and clusters: functional advantages and methodological hurdles.
TL;DR: Current views on how signalling molecules assemble into macromolecular complexes and clusters and how they use their physical properties to transduce environmental information into a variety of cellular processes are summarized.
High plasma membrane lipid order imaged at the immunological synapse periphery in live T cells.
Dylan M. Owen,Stephane Oddos,Sunil Kumar,Daniel M. Davis,Mark A. A. Neil,Paul M. W. French,Michael L. Dustin,Anthony I. Magee,Marek Cebecauer +8 more
TL;DR: It is found that higher membrane order resides at the immunological synapse periphery where proximal signalling through the immunoreceptors and accessory proteins in microclusters has previously been shown to take place.
Activation of the Hedgehog signaling pathway in T-lineage cells inhibits TCR repertoire selection in the thymus and peripheral T-cell activation
Nicola J. Rowbotham,Ariadne L. Hager-Theodorides,Marek Cebecauer,Divya K. Shah,Ekati Drakopoulou,Julian Dyson,Susan V. Outram,Tessa Crompton +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that transcriptional events induced by Hedgehog (Hh) signaling reduced TCR signal strength in mice, and in the Shh−/− thymus the ratio of CD4/CD8 cells and both positive and negative selection of a transgenic TCR were increased, demonstrating that Shh does indeed influence TCR repertoire selection and the transition from double-positive to SP cell in a physiological situation.
