Light deflection by a rotating global monopole spacetime
TL;DR: In this article, the Gauss-Bonnet theorem was applied to the corresponding osculating optical geometries and showed that the deflection of light increases in each spacetime due to the presence of the global monopole parameter and the string cloud parameter, respectively.

The geometry of gravitational lensing magnification
TL;DR: In this article, the van Vleck determinant is used to define an unsigned magnification in gravitational lensing on arbitrary convex normal neighborhoods of time oriented Lorentzian manifolds.
