Specific Activation of A3, A2A and A1 Adenosine Receptors in CD73-Knockout Mice Affects B16F10 Melanoma Growth, Neovascularization, Angiogenesis and Macrophage Infiltration.
Patrycja Koszałka,Monika Gołuńska,Aleksandra Urban,Grzegorz Stasiłojć,Marcin Stanisławowski,Marceli Majewski,Andrzej C. Skladanowski,Jacek Bigda +7 more
TL;DR: There is evidence that each of the analyzed receptors has a specific role in the stimulation of tumor angiogenesis and the results reveal previously unexplored consequences to extracellular adenosine signaling depletion in recently proposed anti-CD73 cancer therapy.

Decreased Toll-like receptor-5 (TLR-5) expression in the mucosa of ulcerative colitis patients.
Marcin Stanisławowski,Piotr M. Wierzbicki,Golab A,Adrych K,Kartanowicz D,Wypych J,Janusz Godlewski,Smoczynski M,Zbigniew Kmieć +8 more
TL;DR: The decreased expression of TLR-5 gene and protein in the mucosa of UC patients suggests that down-regulation of TLr-5 is probably caused by the increased number of ligand molecules in the proximity of epithelial cells in the inflamed tissue.

Prognostic significance of VHL, HIF1A, HIF2A, VEGFA and p53 expression in patients with clear‑cell renal cell carcinoma treated with sunitinib as first‑line treatment.
Piotr M. Wierzbicki,Jakub Klacz,Anna Kotulak‑Chrzaszcz,Agata Wronska,Marcin Stanisławowski,Agnieszka Rybarczyk,Aleksandra Ludziejewska,Zbigniew Kmieć,Marcin Matuszewski +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the protein levels of HIF2A and VEGFA in tumor tissue may serve as independent prognostic factors in ccRCC, and this hypothesis requires verification by large-scale replication studies.
Decreased expression of RASSF1A tumor suppressor gene is associated with worse prognosis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma
Jakub Klacz,Piotr M. Wierzbicki,Agata Wronska,Agnieszka Rybarczyk,Marcin Stanisławowski,Tomasz J. Slebioda,Agata Olejniczak,Marcin Matuszewski,Zbigniew Kmieć +8 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that RASSF1C gene is not involved in ccRCC progression and it is proposed that the measurements of RassF1A mRNA levels in paired tumor-normal kidney tissue could serve as a new prognostic factor inccRCC.
TL1A as a Potential Local Inducer of IL17A Expression in Colon Mucosa of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients.
Tomasz Jerzy Ślebioda,Agnieszka Bojarska-Junak,Marcin Stanisławowski,Marta Cyman,Piotr M. Wierzbicki,Jacek Roliński,Krzysztof Celiński,Zbigniew Kmieć +7 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that TL1A may contribute to pathogenesis of IBD via local but not systemic induction of IL‐17A but not IL‐4, IL‐13 or IFN‐γ.
