A multi-target approach for pain treatment: dual inhibition of fatty acid amide hydrolase and TRPV1 in a rat model of osteoarthritis.
Natalia Malek,Monika Mrugala,Wioletta Makuch,Natalia Kolosowska,Barbara Przewlocka,Marcin Binkowski,Martyna Czaja,Enrico Morera,Vincenzo Di Marzo,Katarzyna Starowicz +9 more
TL;DR: OMDM-198 showed antihyperalgesic effects in the OA model, which were comparable with those of a selective TRPV1 antagonist, SB-366,791, and a selective FAAH inhibitor, URB-597, and these results suggest an innovative strategy for the treatment of OA, which may yield more satisfactory results than those obtained so far with selective FAAh inhibitors in human OA.

Preservation and sterilization methods of the meniscal allografts: literature review
TL;DR: The main aim of this review is to present the current status of knowledge concerning meniscal allograft preservation and sterilization, especially the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Prediction of Young׳s modulus of trabeculae in microscale using macro-scale׳s relationships between bone density and mechanical properties.
Łukasz Cyganik,Marcin Binkowski,G. Kokot,Tomasz Rusin,Paulina Popik,Filip Bolechała,Roman Nowak,Zygmunt Wróbel,Antoni John +8 more
TL;DR: This study examined the applicability of relationships between bone density and mechanical properties obtained in macro-scale testing for the calculation of Young׳s modulus distribution in micro-scale and found the highest accuracy of the numerical calculation was obtained for the Ciarelli et al. (2000) relationship.

Pore analyses of highly porous diatomite and clay based materials for fluidized bed reactors
Noemie van Garderen,Frank Clemens,Josef Kaufmann,Michal Urbanek,Michal Urbanek,Marcin Binkowski,Thomas Graule,Christos G. Aneziris +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between extruded granulates and pure diatomite powders revealed that diatom structure is still intact after high shear process and that pore size distribution of the extrudates is mainly dominated by diatom structures.

Structure and Ultrastructure of the Endodermal Region of the Alimentary Tract in the Freshwater Shrimp Neocaridina heteropoda (Crustacea, Malacostraca)
L. Sonakowska,A. Wlodarczyk,Izabela Poprawa,Marcin Binkowski,Joanna Śróbka,K. Kamińska,M. Kszuk-Jendrysik,Łukasz Chajec,Bartłomiej Zajusz,Magdalena Rost-Roszkowska +9 more
TL;DR: The studies showed that the regionalization in the activity of cells occurs along the length of the hepatopancreatic tubules, and the first report on the existence of an intercellular junction that is connected with the E-cells of Crustacea is presented.
