Carbon efficient smart charging using forecasts of marginal emission factors
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived marginal emission factors for Germany in 2017 using an established regression model and generated short-term predictions of marginal emission factor using a multilayer perception (MLP).

A decentralized approach towards resolving transmission grid congestion in Germany using vehicle-to-grid technology
TL;DR: It is found that the currently proposed expansion of the German electricity grid will not suffice to cope with increased electricity demand from uncoordinated electric vehicle charging, however, with coordination, electric vehicles can support transmission grid balancing and local flexibility markets can provide reasonable remuneration for electric vehicle owners.

Evaluating the importance and impact of user behavior on public destination charging of electric vehicles
TL;DR: The results show that user behavior is an important factor for the economic evaluation of public destination charging stations and therefore needs to be considered in future evaluation methods.

Investigations on fine particle separation using an electrostatic nozzle scrubber
Marc Schmidt,Friedrich Löffler +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an electrostatic nozzle scrubber for particle separation was developed, where charged particles are deposited on oppositely electrostatic charged drops and first results of grade efficiency measurements are presented.
