The effects of serotonergic and adrenergic receptor antagonists on prolactin release in the monkey
TL;DR: It appears that the time course and extent of prolactin release differs among neural antagonists even within the same biogenic amine system.

Lack of a circannual cycle of daytime serum prolactin in man and monkey.
Richard R. Gala,Van De Walle C,Hoffman Wh,Lawson Dm,Pieper Dr,Smith Sw,Marappa G. Subramanian +6 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that although there appears to be no diurnal serum prolactin circannual cycle, this does not rule out the possibility that there may be a nocturnal circann annual cycle.

Cocaine inhibits mating-induced, but not human chorionic gonadotropin-stimulated, ovulation in the rabbit.
TL;DR: Serum prolactin concentrations in mated, pregnant rabbits were higher than in all other groups; cocaine treatment did not affect this hormone; and serum LH and FSH concentrations were lower than those in pregnant controls.
Corticosterone and prolactin do not mediate alarm pheromone effect in the rat.
TL;DR: Water condition did not significantly affect plasma corticosterone or prolactin levels when rats were sacrificed immediately after testing or 20 min after testing, indicating that neither cortic testosterone nor prolact in mediate the alarm pheromone phenomenon.

Attenuation of the magnitude of suckling-induced prolactin release with advancing lactation: Mechanisms
TL;DR: It is concluded that refractoriness in anterior pituitary lactrotropes to prolactin-releasing stimuli is at least partially responsible for the decline in suckling-induced Prolactin release with advancing lactation.
