TL;DR: In this paper , the mechanism of electroacupuncture pretreatment-induced neuroprotection remains unclear, however, it was shown that electro acupuncture pre-treatment enhanced TREM2, LC3II/LC3I and Beclin1 expression while reducing p62 in the ischemic penumbra area.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated the effect of acupuncture-related techniques on the incidence of postoperative cognitive complications (PCC) in patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia and found that patients who were treated with acupuncture had a lower incidence of PCC compared with patients not receiving acupuncture.
