Credit and share-cropping: Comments on Braverman and Srinivasan
TL;DR: In this article, the monitoring cost is introduced in an otherwise Braverman-Srinivasan model of share-cropping, and it is shown that a possibility of "excess applicants equilibrium" arises and in such a case credit-subsidization policy can improve the welfare of the tenant.

Urban unemployment and urban development
TL;DR: In this article, a dual economy model with specialization in production in the urban and the rural sector and with the Harris-Todaro migration mechanism was developed, and it appears that there is no conflict between a programme of urban development and the solution to the urban unemployment problem.
