Study on Proper Welding Condition for Ultranarrow Gap Submerged Arc Welding
TL;DR: Submerged arc welding (SAW) is widely used for butt welding of thick plates in large steel structures because of its high deposition rate and high weld quality as discussed by the authors, but it is not suitable for welded steel structures with a thickness of 150 mm or more.
Polyimide ionomer containing superacid groups
TL;DR: In this article, a sulfonated polyimide copolymer containing pendant perfluorosulfonic acid groups was synthesized and their properties were investigated, and the obtained copolymers were thermally stable up to ca. 180°C and showed 6.6 s−4 s−1 of the proton conductivity at 80°C in water.

CIS based thin-film photovoltaic module and process for producing the same
Katsumi Kushiya,Norimasa Akema,Manabu Tanaka +2 more
- 31 Oct 2006
TL;DR: In this paper, a thin-film photovoltaic module with long-term durability is obtained at low cost by bonding a cover glass to a CIS-based circuit on a glass substrate with thermally crosslinked ethylene vinyl acetate (hereinafter referred to as EVA) resin film as an adhesive.
