Nickel nanoparticle chains inside carbonized polymer nanofibers: preparation by electrospinning and ion-beam irradiation
TL;DR: Novel organic-inorganic composite 1D nanostructures composed of carbonized conductive nanofibers and nickel nanoparticle chains were prepared by the combination of an electrospinning method from metal complex-containing polymer solutions and an ion-beam irradiation technique.

Properties of Mass and Heat Transfer for Tube Cathode Arcs
TL;DR: In this paper, the basic heat source property of argon tube cathode arc at the atmospheric pressure was numerically analyzed and compared with that for the conventional TIG arc, and it was found that TCA is suitable for processes such as brazing or buildup, since it enables to heat a target material uniformly by controlling inner shielding gas flow rate.

Comparison between methods measuring arc efficiency of gas tungsten arc welding
TL;DR: In this paper, experimental methods measuring arc efficiency of gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) to a base metal are compared in order to understand heat transfer of GTAW with and without motion of welding torch.

Visualizations of 2D Temperature Distribution of Molten Metal in Arc Welding Process
Manabu Tanaka,Kenji Waki,Shinichi Tashiro,Kazuhiro Nakata,Eri Yamamoto,Kei Yamazaki,Keiich Suzuki +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a general-purpose method for measurement and visualization of the temperature distribution of an object in arc welding, such as a tungsten electrode and a weld pool in GTA welding, and also a metal droplet and a welding pool in GMA welding, was conducted.
Dynamic keyhole behaviors and element mixing in paraxial hybrid plasma-MIG welding with a gap
Dongsheng Wu,Kazuya Ishida,Shinichi Tashiro,Kazufumi Nomura,Xueming Hua,Ninshu Ma,Manabu Tanaka +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , a paraxial hybrid plasma-MIG welding process is developed to join middle-thick high strength steel plates with a butting gap, and the dynamic keyhole behaviors and element mixing are studied by a three-dimensional numerical model.
