Synthesis, biological evaluation, molecular docking and structure-activity relationship studies of halogenated quinone and naphthoquinone derivatives
TL;DR: A series of previously unexplored molecular analogues of halogenated quinone and naphthoquinone were synthesized to investigate their therapeutic potency against protein glycation, free radical production and acetyl cholinesterase enzyme to reveal the presence of chlorine and trifluoromethanesulfonate in a compound enhanced its inhibitory activity several folds.

Afia Saleem,Syed Majid Bukhari,Asma Zaidi,Umar Farooq,Majid Ali,Asma Khan,Sidra Khan,Kausar Hussain Shah,Adeem Mahmood,Farhan A. Khan +9 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of a new series of 4-Hydroxycoumarin derivatives synthesized through Knovenegal condensation is reported, characterized by using UV-Vis, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopies.
Combined in Vitro and in Silico Studies for the Anticholinesterase Activity and Pharmacokinetics of Coumarinyl Thiazoles and Oxadiazoles.
Aliya Ibrar,Ajmal Khan,Ajmal Khan,Majid Ali,Rizwana Sarwar,Saifullah Mehsud,Umar Farooq,Syed Muhammad Ashhad Halimi,Imtiaz Khan,Imtiaz Khan,Ahmed Al-Harrasi +10 more
TL;DR: The docking studies of coumarinyl oxadiazole derivatives 11(a–h) suggested that the compounds with high anti-butyrylcholinesterase activity (11e, 11a, and 11b) provided MOE score of −9.9, −7.4, and −8.2 Kcal, respectively, with the active site of BuChE building π-π stacking with Trp82 and water bridged interaction.
