Impact of PCSK9 Immunization on Glycemic Indices in Diabetic Rats.
Amir Abbas Momtazi-Borojeni,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Elham Abdollahi,Maciej Banach,Maciej Banach,Amirhossein Sahebkar +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the anti-PCSK9 vaccine was used to improve the glucose and insulin tolerance in diabetic rats, and the results showed that the injected rats showed improved glucose tolerance as reflected by the reduction of blood glucose levels over 180 minutes compared with the diabetic controls.
The effect of efflux pump inhibitors on in vitro and in vivo efficacy of solid lipid nanoparticles containing SN38
Samira Nasirizadeh,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Mehrdad Iranshahi,Shiva Golmohammadzadeh,Asma Mahmoudi,Legha Ansari,Navid Mosallaei,Bizhan Malaekeh-Nikouei +7 more
TL;DR: According to in vivo studies, the use of piperine and quercetin with SLN containing SN38 has produced a favorable synergistic effect as increasing the survival time in animal model.

Comparison of two routes of administration of a cationic liposome formulation for a prophylactic DC vaccination in a murine melanoma model.
Mona Yazdani,Amin Reza Nikpoor,Zahra Gholizadeh,Nema Mohamadian Roshan,Alexander Seifalian,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Ali Badiee +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the efficacy of ex vivo pulsed Dendritic Cell (DC) based vaccine compared with in vivo subcutaneous administration of a cationic liposomes (CLs) formulation containing gp100 antigen was evaluated in a murine melanoma model, and the ex vivo approach of gp100-CLs yielded a significant (P<−0.01) increase in the number of antigen-specific tumors infiltrated lymphocytes (TILs) with a significant upregulation of IFN-γ (P < 0.0001) and PD-1 (P

The role of ISCOMATRIX bilayer composition to induce a cell mediated immunity and protection against leishmaniasis in BALB/c mice.
Ahmad Mehravaran,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Seyed Amir Jalali,Ali Khamesipour,Reza Ranjbar,Mansure Hojatizade,Ali Badiee +6 more
TL;DR: The results showed that the adjuvanticity of prepared ISCOMATRIX doesn’t influence with different phospholipids at least in the authors' mice model, and generated a mixed Th1/Th2 response that was not protective.

Enhancing the Therapeutic Efficacy of Bortezomib in Cancer Therapy Using Polymeric Nanostructures.
Mitra Korani,Shahla Korani,Elham Zendehdel,Amin Reza Nikpoor,Mahmoud Reza Jaafari,Hossein M. Orafai,Thomas P. Johnston,Amirhossein Sahebkar +7 more
TL;DR: There are a great number of nanoparticulate drug delivery systems for potential use in cancer therapy including non-targeted and targeted nanoparticles and this drug delivery system has provided a solution to circumvent the limitations faced with the delivery of traditional cancer chemotherapeutic agents.
