Antenna array design and system for directional networking
Gui Chao Huang,Magdy F. Iskander,Mahbub Hoque,Steven R. Goodall,Timothy Bocskor,Shuguang Chen +5 more
- 01 Nov 2014
TL;DR: The challenges and opportunities in developing directional wireless communication networks are described and innovative options that could facilitate this development are presented, with focus on changes in the physical layer and minimal impact on the higher layers in the ISO model.

Automated Spectrum Plan Advisor for On-The-Move Networks
William Heisey,William Kline,Harris Zebrowitz,Randy Poe,Shanti Sharma,Andrew Cortese,Mahbub Hoque,F.G. Loso,Yoram Levy +8 more
- 23 Oct 2006
TL;DR: The Coalition Joint Spectrum Management Planning Tool (CJSMPT) Program is developing a system for assessing and planning at- the-halt (ATH) and on-the-move (OTM) spectrum use that will give warfighters the ability to rapidly predict conflicts and optimize spectrum utilization for mission success.

Advanced antenna array designs for directional networks
Gui Chao Huang,Magdy F. Iskander,Mahbub Hoque +2 more
- 01 Nov 2016
TL;DR: This paper analyzes and compares the performance of two new antenna array designs including a 4×8 right hand circularly polarized long slot antenna array and a 4–8 dual fed stacked patch antenna array, over the 4–6 GHz and 4.5–5 GHz band.

Implementation of high performance and broadband crossover junction in butler matrix design
Gui Chao Huang,Magdy F. Iskander,Mahbub Hoque,Steven R. Goodal,Timothy Bocskor +4 more
- 19 Jul 2015
TL;DR: In this article, the design of the 8×8 Butler matrix is described and characteristic of a developed prototype are presented and measured results on the developed prototype agreed very well with the simulated results over the entire band for 4-6 GHz.

Switched Beam Steering Using Shared Aperture Antenna Array
Md. Khadimul Islam,Md. Rayhan Khan,Dieff Vital,C. Chibane,Mahbub Hoque,Shubhendu Bhardwaj +5 more
- 10 Jul 2022
TL;DR: In this paper , a low profile and mechanical rotational system free, shared aperture antenna system for both of the L and K band application is proposed, which is capable of steering the beam across upper hemisphere with <3 dB of loss of gain.
