Cara belajar siswa harus jadi perhatian khusus mengingat siswa SMK yang disiapkan sebagai tenaga kerja terampil guna memasuki dunia kerja, kesulitan belajar yang dihadapi siswa dalam materi tersebut mungkin disebabkan oleh cara belajar yang kurang sesuai. Dimana pada akhirnya masalah ini berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa dilihat dari nilai Ujian Tengah Semester siswa. Metode dan jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua jenis variabel, yaitu variabel bebas (X) dan variabel terikat (Y). Sedangkan populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan Teknik Gambar Bangunan pada mata pelajaran Menggambar Konstruksi Atap. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa data hasil penyebaran angket memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang layak bagi hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan regresi sederhana dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 didapat Fhitung = 0,37 < Ftabel = 1,67 maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari cara belajar terhadap prestasi belajar pada mata pelajaran Menggambar Konstruksi Atap di SMKN 2 Garut. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dengan korelasi Sedang terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran menggambar konstruksi atap.

Student learning should be special attention given vocational students are prepared as skilled labor in order to enter the workforce, learning difficulties faced by students in such materials may be caused by a less appropriate way of learning. Where in the end this issue adversely affects student achievement seen from the Mid-Semester Exam students. This type of research methods and descriptive correlational method. In this study there are two types of variables, the independent variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y). While the population in this study was a class XI student majoring in Architecture Engineering Construction Roofing Drawing subjects. Results of data analysis showed that the data of distributing questionnaires have adequate validity and reliability of the research results. Based on a simple regression calculation with α = 0.05 significance level obtained F value = 0.37 <F table = 1.67 it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of learning on learning achievement in the subjects in vocational Roof Construction Drawing 2 Garut . Based on the results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence with Moderate correlation to student achievement in the subjects roof construction drawing.

PENGARUH CARA BELAJAR TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI JURUSAN TGB PADA MATA PELAJARAN MENGGAMBAR KONSTRUKSI ATAP DI SMKN 2 GARUT: Penelitian Terhadap Siswa Di SMK Negeri 2 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika yang harus dikuasai untuk menunjang keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian kuantitatif ini mengkaji kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan mengimplementasikan model VARK-Fleming dan self-concept sebagai variabel kovariat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model VARK-Fleming terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan mengontrol self-concept siswa dan pengaruh variabel kovariat self-concept terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, serta pengaruh secara simultan model VARK-Fleming dan self-concept terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 64 siswa SMP, dengan rincian 32 siswa belajar menggunakan model VARK-Fleming dan 32 siswa belajar dengan model ekspositori. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah angket dan tes uraian. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analysis of covariance (one-way ancova). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh lebih baik model pembelajaran VARK-Fleming dibandingkan model ekspositori dan self-concept terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa baik secara parsial maupun simultan.Â Concept understanding is required for the learning process to be successful. This quantitative study investigates students' mathematical concept understanding abilities using the VARK-Fleming model and self-concept as a covariate variable. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the VARK-Fleming model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts by controlling for students' self-concept and the effect of the covariate variable of self-concept on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts, as well as the simultaneous concept of the VARK-Fleming model and self-concept on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. Sixty-four junior high school students participated in this research, with 32 learning the VARK-Fleming model and 32 learning the expository model. Questionnaires and descriptive tests were employed to collect information. The analysis of covariance was utilized for hypothesis testing (one-way ANCOVA). The findings of this research reveal that the VARK-Fleming learning model has a better effect on students' mathematical concept understanding capacity than the expository model and self-concept, both partially and concurrently. 

The vark-fleming model and self-concept: does it affect mathematical concepts understanding

The covid 19 pandemic that occurred resulted in the learning process being carried out online, but online learning was found to have many obstacles so that in order to make online learning effective, students' cognitive abilities must be optimized. This quantitative study aims to analyze the cognitive skills of students that can influence online mathematics learning outcomes and to describe the cognitive skills variables that have the dominant influence. This research is a quantitative survey research conducted in January-March 2021 involving 155 high school students in Makassar City, consisting of 95 women and 60 men. The research variables consisted of exogenous variables, namely cognitive skills (metacognition, reading comprehension ability, cognitive needs, and intelligence), while the endogenous variables were the results of learning mathematics. The instruments used to measure exogenous variables are questionnaires and intelligence tests that meet the validity and reliability tests. The endogenous variable is learning outcomes obtained from the documentation value of students' mathematics learning outcomes (report scores). The data was processed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of the study indicate that metacognition and intelligence have a positive and significant effect on online mathematics learning outcomes, it means that the higher the metacognition and intelligence possessed by students, the student's learning outcomes will increase. Meanwhile, reading comprehension skills and cognitive needs were found to have no significant effect on online mathematics learning outcomes, this means that reading comprehension skills and cognitive needs have not provided sufficient evidence that they can affect online mathematics learning outcomes. The cognitive skills variable that gives the dominant influence on online mathematics learning outcomes is intelligence with a contribution of 19.53%. This shows that intelligence has a great influence on the online learning process of mathematics

Pengaruh cognitive skills terhadap hasil belajar matematika secara daring

COVID-19 pandemic forces students, teachers and educational institutions to move from conventional learning to online learning due to its risks and limitations. Concerns of students’ motivation particularly in science subjects, thus arise from online learning. Therefore, this study aims to investigate students’ motivation during online science learning, investigate the correlation of students’ grades and their motivation, and find out about correlation between key-factor of Students’ Online Science Learning Motivation Questionnaire. This study is quantitative-descriptive. Thereby to gather the data, an online survey in the form of a Likert-scale questionnaire was employed to students 600 Junior High School students with different grades from different schools around Java island in Indonesia. The findings suggested that the key-factors influencing students’ motivation the most are their active learning skills and achievement goals. Students are relatively confident and possess high self-efficacy in online learning due to their high learning values. Meanwhile, the One-Way ANOVA test shows a significant difference between the grade of students and three out of six key factors of the questionnaire with significance values (p = .006, .039, .011) respectively. In addition, Spearman correlation test show there is a correlation between Self-Efficacy and Achievement Goal, Performance Goal and Achievement Goal, Learning Environment Stimulation and Self-Efficacy. This study may benefit in describing students’ science learning motivation through online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic to make a better learning approach and as a reference for future studies in the field of online learning.

Investigating students’ science learning motivation on online learning during covid-19 pandemic

This research deals language learning styles of the first-grade students of SMP Neheri 3 Bontomarannnu. The problem statement are : (1) Which language learning style is the most dominant used by the first grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Bontomarannu? (2) Do the students’ learning styles influence their English achievement? The objective of the research is to find out the most dominant language learning style used by the first-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Bonromarannu. (2) To found the influence of studens leaning style toward their achievement in learning English at SMP Negeri 3 Bontomarannu. The type of the research is descriptive quantitative. The research samples were 26 students. Then they were classified into four categories of learning style through learning style test: visual, auditory, read/write and kinesthetic learning style. In collecting the data, the researcher used a questionnaire and students’ score achievement.

Students learning style by using neil fleming’s vark model and inventory

This research was a qualitative research and the research instrument used interview. The population of this research is the VIII grade students of SMP UNISMUH Makassar  in class B. The research sample was 20 students. The research instruments was consisting of 15 items questions of interview, and each of the 5   question to find out the students learning style, visual, auditory or kinesthetic. The result of the data show that there was a difference students’ learning style  in speaking ability.  Based on the result of interview in SMP UNISMUH Makassar class B, two students have visual learning style, ten students have auditory learning style,and  eight students have  khinestetic learning style.

Analysis of Students' Learning Style on English Speaking Ability at SMP UNISMUH Makassar

The objective of this research is to use tutorial videos to improve the students’ writing skills as ninth graders. In this study, students' understanding was focused on the content and organization forms. Pre-experimental is a research method with pre-test and post-test as research instruments. The population in this study were students in the ninth grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Makassar. The researcher took one class, namely class IX, as a sample consisting of 18 students. The findings showed that the average results of pre-test and post-test scores increased students' average scores. The average pre-test score was 39 for content and 39 for organization. Following treatment, students' post-test average scores increased by 77 in terms of content and by 76,7 in terms of organization. Meanwhile, students' writing skills in the form of content improved by 97%. Then, 96.7% of students' writing skills improved in terms of organization. This is evidenced in the results of the significance test in finding writing skills focusing on the content with a t-test value of 16.81 > 2.110 and organization with a t-test of 30.95 > 2.110. It is used to determine the hypothesis that occurs in this study. The hypothesis (H0) which was declared insignificant was rejected and the hypothesis (H1) was accepted, because the results of the t-test value for both content (16.81) and organization (30.95) were greater than the t-table value (2.110).

Training on Using Mendeley for Citations in Writing Scientific Papers for Students

This study aimed to analyze and describe the level of learning motivation and students’ learning, as well as the obstacles faced by students in online learning during  pandemic. This type of research was a qualitative descriptive study conducted at University of Muhammadiyah Makassar during March-April 2020. The population were 19,810, determining the number of samples with the Slovin formula so that the samples were 724 people. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. The method of collecting data using questionnaires that were distributed through google forms. The data analysis technique was descriptive qualitative to describe the research variables. Findings of the study conclude that: 1) Although the learning obstacles faced by students during the pandemic are quite a lot, but student learning motivation is in the high category with mean score is 4,11. Students’ motivation is seen from the indicators desire to succeed, the need for learning, the expectation of students' aspirations for their future, independent learning because of their own desires, committed to learning, having initiative in learning, and having an optimistic attitude in learning; 2) The way students learn is in the pandemic era in the good category with mean score is 3.51. Students have their own way of learning such as arrange learning schedule, rehearse the learning material, spend time reading books, articles and references, and make a summary of the material that has been discussed; 3) Learning constraints faced by students in the pandemic period are in the high category with  mean score is 3.69.
