Surface state characterization at the oxide-silicon and nitroxide-silicon interfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the potential and limits of the nitroxide films as gate dielectrics for VLSI devices were investigated and the experimental results indicated that the nitridation process of thermally grown oxides significantly increases the flatband voltage, the oxide charge and the interface-state density.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the analysis of the experimental data aimed at the developing of a CCD/CMOS process starting from an existing CCD one, and the obtained results allow the selection of an optimized silicon substrate in terms of interstitial oxygen concentration [Oi] and give additional information on the role of OI on device electrical performances and on processing induced defects.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an improved understanding of the macroscopic changes of the effective doping concentration based on identification of individual microscopic defects, results from irradiation with a mix of different particle types as expected for the sLHC, and the observation of charge multiplication effects in heavily irradiated detectors at very high bias voltages.
