Metal deposition at the bone-cartilage interface in articular cartilage.
W. Kaabar,Eman Daar,Ozcan Gundogdu,P.M. Jenneson,M. J. Farquharson,M. Webb,Chris Jeynes,D.A. Bradley +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined sections of femoral head obtained from total hip replacement surgery, use being made of micro-proton-induced X-ray emission (micro-PIXE) and the Rutherford back scattering (RBS) techniques.

On the ion irradiation stability of Al/Ti versus AlN/TiN multilayers
Davor Peruško,M. Webb,V. Milinović,B. Timotijević,Momir Milosavljević,Chris Jeynes,Roger P. Webb +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comparative study of the structural changes induced in Al/Ti and AlN/TiN multilayers by argon ion irradiation is presented, and the obtained results demonstrate that the Al N/Ti N multilayered system exhibits a much higher irradiation stability compared to the Al n/Ti system.

Characterising ion-cut in GaAs by Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of ion species on the smart-cut process in semi-insulating GaAs has been investigated by using Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS) in channelling mode.

The influence of the ion implantation temperature and the dose rate on smart-cut© in GaAs
TL;DR: In this paper, the dependence of hydrogen flux and substrate temperature during implantation on the smart-cut process in GaAs have been investigated by ion beam analysis, and it was found that both the flux and the implant temperature are significant for the smart cut process.
