Doubly Dressed Bosons: Exciton Polaritons in a Strong Terahertz Field
Barbara Piętka,Nataliya Bobrovska,Daniel Stephan,M. Teich,M. Król,S. Winnerl,Alexej Pashkin,Rafał Mirek,K. Lekenta,François Morier-Genoud,Harald Schneider,Benoit Deveaud,Benoit Deveaud,Manfred Helm,Michał Matuszewski,Jacek Szczytko +15 more
TL;DR: The existence of a novel quasiparticle, an exciton in a semiconductor doubly dressed with two photons of different wavelengths: a near infrared cavity photon and terahertz photon, with the THz coupling strength approaching the ultrastrong coupling regime is demonstrated.

Temperature dependence of the intraexcitonic AC Stark effect in semiconductor quantum wells
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the temperature-dependent, intraexcitonic AC Stark effect that manifests itself in a line splitting of the heavy-hole 1s exciton transition in a GaAs/AlGaAs multi quantum well when the 1s-2p intraexciton transition is driven by intense THz light.

Intersublevel dephasing in InAs/GaAs quantum dots below the Reststrahlen band
TL;DR: Using transient four-wave mixing in the terahertz range, the authors measured the s-p inter-sublevel dephasing time in self-assembled InAs/GaAs quantum dots for transition energies below the Reststrahlen band.

The THz user facility FELBE at the radiation source ELBE of Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf
W. Seidel,O. Drachenko,Michael Gensch,Manfred Helm,Michael Kuntzsch,M. Justus,Ulf Lehnert,Peter Michel,Martin Mittendorff,Harald Schneider,R. Schurig,M. Teich,S. Winnerl +12 more
- 21 Nov 2013
TL;DR: The FELBE user facility at the Helmhotz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf operates two free-electron lasers (FELs) with energies up to 35 MeV at a 13 MHz repetition rate as discussed by the authors.

Inter-sublevel dephasing in quantum dots
M. Teich,Harald Schneider,Jayeeta Bhattacharyya,Stephan Winnerl,Luke R. Wilson,Manfred Helm +5 more
- 21 Nov 2013
TL;DR: In this paper, the Dresden Free-Electron-Laser (FELBE) was used to investigate intersublevel coherence times in semiconductor quantum dots by degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) spectroscopy.
